Sivu on viimeksi tarkistettu 30.8.2022

In Finland, testing and treatment of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections is free of charge in public health care, with the exception of the treatment of herpes and condyloma.

Places you can get tested for HIV and sexually transmitted infections

  • health centres
  • sexually transmitted infections outpatient clinics
  • student health care services
  • occupational health care
  • private medical centres (subject to a fee)

Testing practices vary from municipality to municipality, so the most up-to-date information on STI testing in your municipality of residence can be obtained by calling the health centre in the area or by finding the information on the municipality’s own website.

In most municipalities, you can assess the possibility of contracting an STI and/or request testing for sexually transmitted infections in the Oma olo service.
