Want to talk about sex and substances?
Hivpoint offers counselling appointments where you can talk to a professional about sexuality and sexual health. During the appointment, you can also ask questions and talk to us about chemsex, substance use, and sexuality. Counselling appointments are always free of charge and confidential. We can arrange the appointment at Hivpoint’s office in Helsinki or remotely.
Counselling is provided by Hivpoint’s sexual health specialists with expertise in chemsex and harm reduction. We do not document any information from the counselling sessions in healthcare patient records, such as Kanta. Our staff is bound by professional confidentiality. Counsellors may make notes during the appointment, but these do not contain your personal data. These notes are stored securely and are destroyed when you no longer attend counselling.
We are here to offer information and support, not to judge or pressure anyone to cut down or stop using substances. You decide what you want to talk about, what you want to share about yourself and what you hope to get from the counselling. Our approach is based on harm reduction. You can read more about harm reduction on our Safer chemsex page.
